In her illustrious career as an educator, Bella had the privilege of instructing esteemed Ballet luminaries: Mikhail Baryshnikov and Alexander Godunov. It was in the year 1982 that Bella, armed with her profound experience and expertise, fearlessly forged ahead to establish the Bayview School of Ballet in the city of Toronto. In a momentous endeavour, Bella's pioneering efforts introduced the venerable Russian classical teaching method to the Canadian landscape, thereby enriching the tapestry of Canadian culture.

As both a performer and mentor, Bella Kovarsky devoted her entire existence to the realm of Ballet. Throughout her professional journey, Bella Kovarsky's resolute professionalism, remarkable ingenuity, and unparalleled teaching prowess propelled her to attain a renowned and deeply revered status on the global stage. In keeping with Bella's cherished heritage, the Bayview School of Ballet remains steadfastly committed to preserving her indelible legacy by upholding the lofty standards of excellence, unwavering dedication, and consummate professionalism that she exemplified.

Beauty Never Dies

"Since 2000, after the passing away of Bella Kovarsky, Anna Kovarsky has continued her mother's legacy. Today, Bayview School of Ballet has doubled its number of students and has a highly professional team of teachers and piano accompanists.

Anna has dedicated her time and talents towards making the Bayview School of Ballet a community for parents, students, and grandparents. Anna has been praised by parents, the wider community, and dance educators for keeping her mother's spirit and tradition alive through the continued flourishing of the Bayview School of Ballet".

Renovation of Bayview School of Ballet

On June 28th, 2012, Anna Kovarsky hired a world-renowned interior designer, Vienna El Bezri, to create a state-of-the-art dance education facility to reflect the world-class quality of Bayview School of Ballet's programs. On September 1st, 2012, Vienna and her team completed the construction project. The BSB now enables all striving students to fulfill their highest potential while training in a professional environment suited to their needs. The newly renovated building adds a striking and modern architectural landmark to Toronto's burgeoning Willowdale neighbourhood!
